Durability and realistic expectations

E-max is a strong aesthetic ceramic, but case selection, bite adjustment and maintenance decide longevity.

Very dark teeth may limit the final shade. Translucency and masking pull in opposite directions — if the base is very dark, the honest answer may be a different material.
A night guard may be needed for grinding. Uncontrolled grinding overloads ceramics, and a guard is part of the treatment rather than an optional extra.
Gum health and margin fit shape the final appearance. The margin sits at the gum line, so inflamed gums change how the whole restoration reads.
