That is the information a patient meets before they reach any clinic&#8217;s website, so it deserves a straight answer rather than a defensive one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cTurkey teeth\u201d is not a treatment.<\/strong> It is a nickname for a particular bad outcome: a mouth full of uniformly bright, oversized restorations sitting on natural teeth that were filed down far more than the patient expected. UK clinicians publishing on the subject describe patients arriving with healthy teeth reduced to small pegs, and complications including nerve damage requiring root canal treatment, gum inflammation around poorly fitting margins, and restorations failing early.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group dp-callout dp-callout-red is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The failure has a name, and it is not \u201cTurkey\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the great majority of these cases the patient was quoted for <em>veneers<\/em> and received <em>crowns<\/em>.
